Why I Changed Our Pricing

Monday & Co has always been a labor of love and somewhat of a passion project for me. I’m very lucky (and I’ve worked hard) to be able to call Brown Girl Bloggers my full-time job but since I’m such a community oriented person, I couldn’t help myself when the chance to create a small coworking space came along.

Over the past few months I’ve met some really dope and really amazing women who have become my tribe here in Atlanta and the space has had everything to do with that. I’m not sure where I’d be having just moved to Atlanta in August if it hadn’t been for those women.

I want to make the space more accessible because I’m happiest when the office is full of women getting work done and making connections so I’m going to try something different going forward.

The vision for Monday & Co has always been to help my community. I truly want to create a space where I can help black and brown women in business be successful and build community at the same time. I don’t want to price out the very women I want to help, so I’ve really been thinking about how to address that while still paying the bills and being able to provide good programming.

After thinking it over I decided to switch things up and see what happens because I can and I want to.

We’re moving to a pay-what-you can model and businesses will also get the chance to sponsor a woman to work here for 3 month periods.

This is truly a space for women who want to put in work to develop a marketing plan, build a website, create products, and build sustainable businesses. I’ve been at it for over 5 years now and in the words of Beyonce, “If my country ass can do it, you can too.”
